Sleep Out Event Terms & Conditions

Event Participation Terms and Conditions 

By participating in the COPE Galway Sleep Out, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

1. Health and Safety 

• You confirm that you are in good health, physically fit, and able to participate in the event. Participation is entirely at your own risk. 

• Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing and gear to ensure their comfort and safety during the event. The event takes place outdoors in cold winter conditions, and COPE Galway is not responsible for any discomfort or health issues arising from inadequate preparation. 

2. Representation of COPE Galway 

• You agree to uphold and protect the reputation of COPE Galway throughout your participation in the event, acting in a manner that reflects positively on the organisation. 

3. Fundraising Obligations 

• All funds raised through your participation must be submitted to COPE Galway within six (6) weeks of the event date. 

• For cash and cheque donations, please record donor names and donation amounts to ensure accurate receipting. (Online donations do not require additional record-keeping.) 

4. Personal Belongings 

• COPE Galway is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the event. Participants are advised not to bring valuables. 

5. Liability 

• COPE Galway and its employees are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to participants, except in cases of injury or death caused by the organisation’s negligence. 

6. Media Consent 

• By participating, you grant COPE Galway permission to use photographs and video footage of the event that may include your image for future promotional purposes. 

7. Communication and Privacy 

• You consent to receive email communications from COPE Galway about the Sleep Out and related activities, in line with our Fundraising Privacy Policy. Your contact details will remain confidential and will not be shared with third parties. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
